BallOrcs Battle: the shared core moves in, and the Hollow learns where land is
A quieter fortnight for the war game, mostly about plumbing and fit and finish.
Armies of orcs. One big battle.
BallOrcs Battle takes the round-orc mayhem into strategy. Gather food, buy units, send your army into the fight and cast spells that only your tribe has, all while the Hollow, a grey menace that belongs to no one, creeps across the map. Every battle is built to play out identically on every machine, so online duels can be fair.
Platforms: Windows, Linux, Web, Android
Features
Rootkin, Cinderkin, Brinekin, Amberkin and Glintkin each field a unit and a spell nobody else gets.
Huge armies on screen at a steady 60 frames per second, even on a laptop's built-in graphics.
Orcs need feeding. Collect food, buy new units, give attack orders and use a dozen different abilities.
Skirmish against the same AI we use to play thousands of practice matches and keep the game balanced.
Roadmap
Dev log
A quieter fortnight for the war game, mostly about plumbing and fit and finish.
Orcs now find their way around walls of fire and barricades instead of getting stuck, plus a skirmish menu and health bars for hurt units.
Until this week you could move your orcs and that was very nearly all.
